Get a real taste of construction with Bowmer + Kirkland through this online work-experience programme on Springpod. Over roughly 6 hours of interactive modules, you’ll explore all phases of a build: from pre-construction planning and design, through construction management, to commercial roles like quantity surveying. Learn about the company’s values, project lifecycle, and digital innovations and build your employability skills . You’ll hear from Bowmer + Kirkland staff across different roles, from apprentices to senior managers and, when you finish, you’ll earn a certificate to boost your CV.

Students in year 10 and above can sign up to this virtual work experience at Rolls Royce. The experience will cover Future-Ready Skills, Career Tasters and Employability Skills, participants will develop the insights and capabilities needed to succeed in engineering and business.

A five-week hybrid work experience programme for Year 10 students across Derby, co-delivered by the University of Derby Work Health Hub and Marked Improvement E-learning. Student teams act as junior digital learning consultants, creating a wellbeing-themed Insight Guide in PDF, video, or mixed format. All suitable guides are published on the Derby Promise website.
