OVO Foundation Nature Prize Returns for Fourth Year to Inspire UK Schools

The OVO Foundation Nature Prize is back for its fourth consecutive year, once again calling on schools across the UK to bring students closer to nature and take meaningful climate action.
This exciting competition is free to enter for all non-independent schools, colleges, and nurseries across the country. The initiative encourages schools to design and submit innovative nature-based project ideas that fit within one of three key themes:
- Adaptation and Resilience – projects that help communities or environments adjust to the effects of climate change.
- Community – ideas that connect people through nature and collective environmental action.
- Green Skills – projects that help students gain practical, sustainable skills for the future.
A total of 30 winning schools will each receive a £500 cash prize, with ten winners chosen from each category.
Entries open at 9:00am on Monday, 13 October, and will close at 11:59pm on Monday, 17 November. Schools are encouraged to get creative and showcase how they can make a lasting impact on their local environment and community.
